Beauty is imperfection.

My friend over at Creative Mom Online is talking about her heels. I also had very rough heels a few months ago and I hated it also but after reading so much about the Vaseline Petroleum Jelly I decided to give it a try.

Every night, before I go to bed and after my shower, I apply a generous amount of petroleum jelly on my feet. After I do this I put a pair of old socks on. One that I no longer use to go out. Then I sit on the bed for a little while, watch TV, read a magazine or read a book. I do this for 10-15-20 minutes. Depends on how tired I am. When I am ready to go to bed I take my socks off because I can’t sleep in them. I find them really bothersome but to be honest, it’s much better to leave the socks on all night to lock the moisture in, but like I said I can’t sleep in them so I take them off.

After 2 weeks of doing this I got myself a foot scrubber and scrubbed my feet after taking a shower! You should have seen the amount of dead skin (sorry it’s gross) that came off! They peeled off like a banana skin. After scrubbing my feet I immediately applied vaseline jelly. My heels are very smooth now. I don’t see any dry areas. Sometimes when I apply it on I admire my feet because they are so smooth. My toenails are growing healthy too. I reckon because of the routine I do every night. The moisture in the vaseline petroleum jelly work wonders. As you can see here I had it on top of my shopping list because I was running out. Yup. I really do use it. I promise. LOL.

Applying the jelly on my feet is a ritual to me now. It’s like brushing teeth. :) What’s more is it is so affordable. I can get a big tub of vaseline jelly for $4 and it works well for me.

Fun fact: Creme de La Mer’s main ingredients are petroleum and mineral oil.

I finally got the Revlon photoready foundation from CVS. I did not know what shade would suit me so I bought three colors. Not all in one day though. If I did that I may as well have bought another bottle of MUFE HD foundation.

The 008 Golden Beige is my shade, I think. I haven’t tried it on my face yet though, but I know for sure that 005 and 006 are way too light for me, so I am hoping the 008 is the prefect color for my skin. I will be returning the other two colors at the CVS near our house. I want my money back or I might give it away to someone.

As of this moment, I like both MUFE HD and Revlon photoready foundation. Although in my opinion Revlon photoready last longer than the MUFE HD. That is just my opinion. It could be different for you. Also I have heard some people complain about the slight shimmer that comes with the photoready, but I feel it’s not really that big of a deal. I have combination skin (oily and dry in some areas) and I think it’s OK. I set this foundation with a setting powder and it seems good enough for me. :)

Sigmamakeup.com released their professional premium makeup brushes a week or so ago so I decided to buy the new set. I purchased brushes from Sigma before and they really wowed me so I was really excited to know about these new brushes. I ordered mine on Thursday night and they arrived in a very nice black box on Monday this week. I am really excited to use these brushes. I need to wash them first, though. :) I know I have a lot of makeup brushes but I am giving some to my sister when she gets here in May. I dunno why I have to explain myself. Guilty perhaps for owning too many brushes? LOL. :) So anyway I finally got round to take some pics and I am going to share them with you. :P

I used my Urban Decay Ammo palette and I really hated the shimmer. I think I will give that palette to my sister when she gets here. :P

It’s finally mine! I have wanted this clutch for awhile so when hubby asked what I wanted for Valentine’s Day I asked for this. I didn’t think he would say yes. :P As soon as he gave me the OK I immediately ordered it at Nordstrom thinking that it would get here before Valentines day. :P It didn’t but it’s OK coz I got it the next day after V day.

I wore this scarf tonight because it’s still really cold outside. I was wearing a black top with a hoodie from Old Navy and I wore my size 7 jeans tonight too!! OMG! Yippee!! I am glad that pair fit me again. With the jeans I wore a white studded belt from Target. I also wore my cognac motorcycle style leather coat. :)

BTW, the scarf was a gift from a friend who used to live in NY. :)

My eye makeup for today. Chantelle and I are going out. :D

My shopping list for the week. I know I haven’t hit 20 pans yet but I am itching to get the new Revlon HD foundation and their new line of lipsticks. I’ll get them tomorrow after dinner. Chantelle and I are going to Olive Garden or maybe Red Lobster. :)

I finally did a French Manicure on my nails. I used China Glaze Exceptionally Gifted for all over nail color and White on White on the tip of my nails. :) Watch the video if you want. :)
